House-Comm 2022 Elections

Privilege Walk Event
Hi Fullerites!
I would like to inform you of the upcoming Privilege Walk Event.
The Privilege Walk Event is an activity that aims to highlight the different forms of privilege that are moulded by race, economic background, gender, and other demographic variables. The event is not meant to shame any individuals but rather to appreciate the diversity of our individual backgrounds.
This event is open to all Fuller Hall and Upper Campus Residence students.
The event will proceed as follows: Everyone will stand in a horizontal line on the field. All participants will have their eyes closed until the end of the exercise. As the facilitator reads a statement or question, the participant will step forward or step back if it applies to them. If anyone feels too uncomfortable to take a step, they have the option to remain still. At the end of the questions, all the participants will then begin the race to the end of the field. There will be a reflection stage after all the questions. The event will be led by the transformation representatives from Fuller Hall and Upper Campus Residence as well as the UCR's transformation Sub-committee, who have all undergone facilitation training and who will be available and willing to help if you feel triggered at any point.
I understand that this exercise could provoke certain emotions therefore I am letting you know that if you are uncomfortable at any stage you will be allowed to leave. Those wishing to participate in the event can sign-up on the link below:

Hoody Design Competition
