TUTOR’S NETWORK
Good day Fullerites,
I hope you are all doing well and I’m sending love, light and motivation for your studies.
Before I get into what the intention of this email really is, I’d first like to remind you all that you are capable of doing exceedingly well in whatever it is you apply your mind to. Always remember what the goal is and apply yourself. Never forget that you made it into UCT because you are an intellect, and nothing will change that. If you ever feel overwhelmed, please do reach out to me as your Academics Rep. or to your mentor, sub-wardens, or student wellness.
With that being said, the Tutors’ Network has finally been launched 😊! Please see attached document at the end of this email. Make sure to read through the document thoroughly before clicking on the link to book a consultation with a tutor. This is the Network you will use to get into contact with tutors in the residence system that are offering courses not offered in Fuller Hall. When making use of this system, it is solely your responsibility to get in contact with the tutor and arrange for the tutoring session.
The RADC (Residence Academic Development Committee) is also offering webinars to help with preparations for your exams. These webinars will be tackling what has been seen to work for students and what has not. You are a university student and some of you may still be using the study methods they used in High School which may not work in Varsity. These webinars are a good tool to assess whether your study methods are working for you and gain tips on how to further improve your marks in Varsity.
Please RSVP if interested: RADC Webinar 10 [Exam Preparation-Online Learning Experience] (google.com). NB. Take note of the time and date of the webinar.
